Candle Care
Cloche it.
Cover your candles when not in use. A cloche can prevent dust and other debris from settling on your candle which in turn can burn cleaner and safer. It also makes for a decorative detail in any room.
Candle tools.
Trim your wicks down to 1/4 inch to ensure an even burn and prevent smoke and soot from collecting on your candle. Use a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle to prevent any hot wax from splashing back at you when blowing the flame out. A wick dipper allows you to extinguish your candle but also realign your wick and re-coat it after each use. If your wick is submerged, use this tool to gently expose it.
Burn responsibly.
Always burn within sight, away from pets and children on an even and fire resistant surface. Keep away from flammable objects. Keep candle free of any foreign materials and debris such as wick trimmings and matches.
REUSE YOUR VESSELS
Sustainability
All our vessels are reusable and can be turned into multipurpose containers once the candle life is over. When you’re done simply clean them out and reuse to add an element of design and function to your space.
Function
We’ve seen our empty vessels live a second life as vases, penholders, utensil and desktop organizers, makeup brush holders, key holders and catch-alls. They are dishwasher safe.
How-to
To reuse, set your vessel down on a flat surface. Boil a pot of water and pour into the vessel filling it to the top, the vessel will be hot so make sure not to move it. Let the water cool down and sit for a few hours until the wax comes to the top and solidifies against the container. You can now grab the wax in one piece and dispose (or melt in wax warmer). Grab a plastic spoon or knife and scoop/scrape off the metal wick tab. Wash with warm water and dish soap. Repeat if needed.
